Chainmail Core Rulebook - anyone know where to find it?

“You think your people will be free? You think you have escaped me? You mortals will have nothing but war, not a moment of peace until a new God of War rises to replace me.” Discuss the Sundered Empire featured in the Chainmail campaign setting, as it relates to pen & paper RPGs, here.

Chainmail Core Rulebook - anyone know where to find it?

Post by Bhaalspawn » Mon Jan 26, 2015 9:11 pm

Does anyone know anywhere that this is still available? I know Wizards had it up for a while a long time ago, but I didn't know about it until after it was already down and I can't seem to find a copy anywhere from a legitimate website. I've managed to pick up all of the various set books (even the Shadow of the Drow 4th set book, and I had to have that shipped from Germany) but would really like to find this to round out what little campaign setting information was available.

Well, there's this thing called the Chainmail Comprehensive Rulebook, available here:

http://www.dndadventure.com/dnda_dm_resources.html

34 page PDF, orginally given away for free on WotC's website.

"By the Book" or "BtB" merely means that the game is being played within close physical proximity to one or more of the books containing the material which explains how to play the game. If the book is not within close proximity, one is playing "away from the book" or "across from the book" or "someplace where the book is not located".

Thanks for the link to that, although that isn't the book I am referencing. Here's a link to the Amazon listing for what the book would have been had it been released: http://www.amazon.com/Chainmail-Core-Ru ... e+rulebook

It's 160 (also seen 148 listed) page book and I've seen the PDF before on a site that no longer has it, so I know it exists.
