[WHFRP 1-3] Where to set a campaign?

The Old World. On the surface, it is a vast and fertile place, but a shadow hangs over the world, cast by the dark, corrupting hand of Chaos.

Where do you place your campaigns, assuing the classic Old World Warhammer setting is used?

I haven't run WHFRP in ages but if I would run a short campaign in the near future it'd likely be set in either Middenheim or Marienburg as I have both of the old 1e print supplements for them & frankly like the regions.

Agreed! Marienburg is personally my favorite, but Middenheim is also cool. Sylvania and the areas around it would work well, too.

Is each one of these regions a one-book region?

Is there anything else (like White Dwarf articles) that would expand Middenheim or Marienburg?

Both Middenheim and Marienburg had dedicated city-books back in the 1e days. Additionally, White Dwarf used to run a series of articles expanding on Marienburg.

In 2e, WFRP resources focused on nation-level development, although most "nation" books icluded detailed notes on major cities.
