PC Archetypes?

“As you know I am not of Barsoom; your ways are not my ways, and I can only act in the future as I have in the past, in accordance with the dictates of my conscience and guided by the standards of mine own people.” All RPGs base based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' Barsoom stories can be discussed here.

What PC archetypes (Races, Classes etc?) are appropriate in a Barsoom Campaign? Any RPG.

If you have a look at this viewtopic.php?f=108&t=20780, at pages 18-24 you can find a number of archetypes specially made for Barsoom and their descriptions (for AFF2): Warrior, Berserker, Scout, Assassin, Psion (Beastmaster, Illusionist, Medium, Mesmerist and Telepath), Technician, Scientist.

What is AFF2?

I know that ERB explicitly said that there are no thieves in Barsoom but I think that some sort of a thief class would still fit the setting, particularly if you consider that in 5E the rogue is the class and thief is an optional pathway, because some character option including sneaking and slight-of-hand ought to be an option. On the other hand, I suppose that scout and assassin could be sub-classes of rogue already so maybe my comment is irrelevant.

EDIT: I should follow links first, ask questions second. I guess AFF2 is "Advanced Fighting Fantasy 2," a system I've got hardly any experience with. I think I found that webpage from the link before, but I wasn't sure what to make of it. :(

OT:
AFF2 (Advanced Fighting Fantasy 2e) is a light and quick d6 RPG ruleset. It is part of the historical Fighting Fntasy franchise (see https://fightingfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Fighting_Fantasy and https://www.fightingfantasy.com/).
