The EEG and the Hill Giants

I'm teasing out some possible connections and embellishments in the Steading of the Hill Giant Chief.

Great article!

I did not realize the connections between the Giants Series and the Temple of Elemental Evil. Also, a lower level(!)? : :o

And the Drow are behind it all? Of course they are

Are you planning on follow articles for the rest of the Giants series or even more GH modules?

Shoggoths.

The lower level(s?) must have shoggoths!

Ironically, I pulled out the Steading module just the other day and placed it on my re-read it pile. My only question would be is there any solid evidence that Gary had created the EEG at the time he was writing G1, or was he possibly in the process of creating it and throwing in hints in G1?

I don't know if Gary gave it that much thought when he wrote Steading, or if he simply added a couple of throw-away lines, and later decided to elaborate on it in Hall of the Fire Giant King. But "Below the Steading" does sound like a nifty little side-adventure...;)

I read it last night. Sounds like dungeon dressing to me. Perhaps Gary then expanded on it later? I suppose we'll never know for sure
