Scourge of Worlds DVD set on Greyhawk?

Post by Havard » Tue Jul 30, 2013 10:31 pm

Scourge of Worlds: A Dungeons & Dragons Adventure has been described as an Endless Quest novel in the DVD format.

It features the 3E Iconic characters. I think I read somewhere that it was set on Greyhawk. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone have the DVD?

Well, watching this review on YouTube, apparently one of the characters is a worshiper of Pholtus, and Lidda says "We're bringing you back to Greyhawk so we can get paid." This review on RPGNet says they voyage to the Sea of Dust.

So signs point to yes.

Edit: see also this Canonfire thread.

Well if this video locates Lidda as being on the same planet as the City of Greyhawk, that would seem to suggest that New Koratia is also on the same world as Greyhawk.

Or that more than one world has a Lidda.

Another possibility would be that Lidda and the other Iconic 3E characters have visited multiple worlds. I suggested the same about the D&D Cartoon characters.

I actually got this when it was released and have watched/played through several times. As far as I can tell its Greyhawk, although it is generic enough one could imagine it being any standard fantasy world.

...Was marketed in Germany with Greyhawk on the back cover.
