Post by Greyhawk GHO » Thu Oct 10, 2019 2:44 pm

Hey there, all!
Just wanted to put a little announcement on the board again, to try and see everyone get a little extra Greyhawk Goodness™!
Greyhawk Online is once again proud to announce there's a new issue of the Oerth Journal that has been released!
OJ #30 just hit the [virtual] shelves!

This is the 2nd in the run of recent issues, where we've had a theme throwing back to the City of Greyhawk boxed set:
"Folks, Feuds, and Factions".
"Folks" was last issue. And "Factions" will be the Winter issue.
This issue is themed "Feuds" - all kinds of conflicts across the realms of Greyhawk!
  • Librarian's Chronicle: Letter from the Editor - Kristoph Nolen
  • Fifth of Greyhawk - John Roy
  • Persecution and Murder - Kristoph Nolen
  • The Pit: Gladiatorial Favorites - Cal Scrivener with Zuul "Rurat" Ramsey
  • Warbands of Ull - Mike "@GreyhawkMike" Bridges
  • Constellations of Greyhawk: Veneficus et Milés - Andy Miller
  • Beggars vs. Thieves - Will "Giantstomp" Dvorak
  • Rivals: Auric's Warband - Mark "Sollace" Allen
  • Suel-Baklunish War - Cal Scrivener

Very nice!

I'll have to think about how to tie the actions of PCs into some of those ideas.

Thanks, SO much Havard! That means a lot to the entire staff! We feel the OJ is a resource we shouldn't ever let pass into obscurity in fandom!
And we couldn't ever forget the awesome support and enthusiasm of Greyhawk Fans here at the Piazza over the years! We'll always do our best to post here about publishing projects and such!

"Feuds" are always a great way to start off campaign arcs! Glad you like the ideas the authors and fans came up with!

Thanks SO much!

We just want to take a minute and say "Thank you" to all of those who've downloaded and read the most recent issue of the Oerth Journal! It's the tremendous effort of fans that allows it to be published each quarter, and we look forward to continuing to publish on the same schedule we have this year.

Coming up in just a couple of months for the Winter issue (#31) is going to be "Factions"!
And the GaryCon XII (2020) issue (#32) is going to be in print again at the convention, and given to attendees as a free handout! It's theme is "Infinite Oerths", showcasing all the varied ways fans play in the World of Greyhawk, and how some of their versions are uniquely different than the published setting!
There's even more exciting news for the future of the magazine, too! There's a lot of stuff coming up the pike, so be sure to stay tuned and watch the website, Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, or wherever you get your gaming news for the newest and latest for the Oerth Journal!

Well, well. I obviously missed the last three issues, and was unaware that the OJ was back on track again! Just for the first glimpse, I already love what you are doing there. Looks great!
