DL8 Dragons of War

What's the general verdict on this module? A friend of mine told me it also included a stand alone mini game? Has anyone played it?

It’s great; perhaps THE definitive Dragonlance module. Tracy Hickman’s Eye of the Dragon module from way back before DL was published (from the same time as the original Ravenloft and Rahasia modules) features a tower that bears at least a passing resemblance to DL8’s High Clerist Tower. What I like about this module, like many of Hickman’s designs, is that it is actually plenty sandboxey. There are maps and encounters for roaming a good chunk of Solamnia, and then there’s the tower itself, which has IIRC three or four quests going on. And of course you’re racing against the clock because a Major Plot Element is on its way. Awesome! I’m sorry I can’t tell you anything about the mini game you mention; no experience with that.

Looked through the module... I don't see a "mini-game" but there is a BATTLESYSTEM section. Is that what you're thinking of, Havard? I'm wondering if you really mean the war game module, DL11, Dragons of Glory.

Hmm...I thought it was going to be both a Battlesystem section AND a mini game? But I could be mistaken. I will add DL8 to my list of Battlesystem adventures.

Does DL11 have a mini game?

No, it was a strategic war game of the War of the Lance much like X10, Red Arrow, Black Shield. DL11 also had suggestions for use with the BATTLESYSTEM, so I guess you can add it to the list as well.
