Aetherial Adventures

Post by Nate Christen »

I've shared some of this material over in the Pathfinder forum, but I figured I'd start a page here for compiling information.

My campaign setting is the Sol System, the main planet of which is Homeworld--an alternate version of Earth with the serial numbers filed off. I created it as the setting for a space fantasy campaign that I wanted to run. Here's what I have so far:

A Gazetteer of the Sol System

The Aethernaut's Handbook

Godsharp Saga Campaign Guide
1. Out of the Blue
2. Among the Stars
3. At a Crossroads
4. Beneath the Sands
5. Beyond the Pale
6. Into the Eye of the Storm

WOW! You did a massive job!
It will take some time to digest it properly, but the first impression is amazing!

One more thing: Here's a location, the Crossroads asteroid colony; it's inspired by the Rock of Bral and can make a good launch point for adventures in the Sol System.

Thanks. It's pretty blatantly inspired by the Rock of Bral from Spelljammer, which was the starting point for one of my all-time favorite campaigns.

For anyone who's interested, and in the Twin Cities area, I'll be running a couple of scenarios in the Aetherial Adventures setting at Con of the North, in February 2019. There's more information on my blog.

The most recent poston my blog presents an overview for a campaign based around the notion that the PCs failed to stop the demon plot in the Godsharp Saga, and now Homeworld has been thrown into chaos.

This looks great. I love the gazetteer and players guide.

What software do you use for your maps and deck plans? I think running them through a couple of Photoshop filters could make them look even better. Still, very nice work! :)

I use Paint on my current Dell, and I've used Paintbrush for the Mac. It's simple, but it reminds me of the maps from old issues of Dungeon Magazine.

My first new d20 Pirates blog post of 2020 updates the crew of the aethership Skylark to level 6, and introduces a new PC, Nar'raw the lizard folk bard, who is based on the short stories that I've been writing. These are the pregenerated characters that I'll be using at Con of the North.

Here's a short update to the Crossroads asteroid colony, moving the timeline past the events of the Godsharp Saga.

I’m really not usually into this genre so often but really what I’ve read has been an absolute pleasure!
