Shattered World setting

Post by lwhitehead » Wed Dec 07, 2016 8:43 pm

This setting is based on my early Airworld setting, but with some changes.

Shattered World Setting:,

This world is a D&D setting of a hopeful official D&D setting Tech level is Renaissance timeframe or Late Middle Ages, the major Tech is there Airships which travel between levels in the Air towards the Landmasses.

The world itself was inspired by the video game Septerra Core, each Landmass in orbit around the Core.

Once this world had all there landmasses on there planetary crust, but an Mystical Imperial Empire drew there power from the Core of this Planet, but over time they grew greedy and cause the great distaster causing the landmasses to fly into the Air and Warp the Nature and Magick weave.

Airships:

This Planet major Tech are the Airships are typical Fantasy ships that powered by Sails on Top and Sides of each ship, the Wood which each ship is made out of naturally has a antigravity due to the Sap in the Wood, which these types of Tree were created during the distaster,

Now lasted Tech is an expermental Airship that's a Blimp like uses Fire stoke stoves with long metal Stove Pipes that entered the Bag overhead and running back of the Airship ending at the end.

Shatter World's Water:

This world has no Ocean due the Caytism of Mages, it has Rivers and Lakes but no Oceans due to orbits of the Landmasses but there is standard Water Rain cycle.

Gods:

a Standard Patheon of D&D type of Gods,

So I need help with world,

For a world without oceans, you are going to need cloudfarmers. They will make it easier to survive in places where liquid water is rare...vapor water should be a commodity.

The Wood that Floats is based on Evengreen Oak Trees, these Skyships are normally powered by Sails on the top and side of the boats.

The Timeframe is 15th to 16th Century,

One of the Landmasses has Coal and Alchemy large amounts, which might remind players and DM's of Iron Kingdom RPG but it's not all froms of Magick is normally very rarely used this includes Clerics, Druids, and all other types in D&D setting,
