5e Ilithid Incarnates

This is a divine spellcaster variant of the mind flayer. It was inspired by a brief side discussion on another thread about the illithid Chryassk, the leader of a Cult of the Dragon Below under Sharn. It also has some additional changes, like damage resistances. (For what it's worth, giving these resistances to the standard mind flayer in the monster manual shouldn't increase it's CR any.)

Illithid Incarnates are those mind flayers with a divine connection to the madness and corruption flowing from Xoriat. Of all the daelkyr's servants, the Incarnates are among the most favored. However, they seem as unconcerned with their master's imprisonment in Khyber as the daelkyr themselves, leading Incarnates to be isolated from the machinations of other mind flayers seeking to free the Lords of Madness.

Magic Resistance. The illithid has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Innate Spellcasting. The illithid's innate spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 15). The illithid can innately cast the following spells, requiring no components:
At will: detect thoughts, levitate
1/day each: dominate monster, plane shift (self only)

Spellcasting. The illithid is a 10th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (save DC 15, +7 to hit with spell attacks). The illithid has the following cleric spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): guidance, sacred flame, thaumaturgy, true strike
1st level (4 slots): bane, healing world, ray of sickness, shield of faith
2nd level (3 slots): crown of madness, silence, spiritual weapon
3rd level (3 slots): bestow curse, gaseous form, protection from energy
4th level (3 slots): guardian of faith, polymorph
5th level (2 slots): flame strike, modify memory

Tentacles. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) psychic damage. If the target is Medium or smaller, it is grappled (escape DC 15) and must succeed on a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw or be stunned until this grapple ends.

Extract Brain. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one incapacitated humanoid grappled by the illithid. Hit: The target takes 55 (10d10) piercing damage. If this damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the illithid kills the target by extracting and devouring its brain.

Mind Blast (Recharge 5-6). The illithid magically emits psychic energy in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw or take 22 (4d8 + 4) psychic damage and be stunned for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
