5th Edition Karrnathi Undead

I started yet another Eberron game, something a little lighter for newer players. They're on a mission to some giant ruins in Xen'drik and are racing with the Emerald Claw. For the actual EC soldiers, I can pretty much use knights and veterans from the Monster Manual, but I definately wanted them to have some Karrnathi undead with them.

The Karrnathi undead from 3.5 didn't have any special abilities, so I basically made these guys really tough versions of the 5th edition skeleton and zombies. Karrnathi zombies are particularly scary, since they have proficiency with Con saves to go along with their Undead Fortitude.

KARRNATHI UNDEAD
Karrnathi undead are much more intelligent and harder to destroy than basic zombies and skeletons. They possess none of the memories they had in life, except for the martial skill of the elite Karrnathi soldier they are created from. Karrnathi undead excel at fighting in strike teams, employing tactics and attacks that belie their intelligence.

KARRNATHI SKELETON
Medium undead, neutral evil
Armor Class 16 (breastplate)
Hit Points 54 (9d8 + 18)
Speed 30 ft.

Saving Throws Con +4, Wis +2
Skills Athletics +3, Perception +2
Damage Vulnerabilities bludgeoning
Damage Immunities poison
Condition Immunities exhaustion, frightened, poisoned
Senses darkvision 60 ft., passive Perception 12
Languages Common
Challenge 4 (1,100 XP)

Brute. A melee weapon deals one extra die of its damage when the Karrnathi skeleton hits with it (included in the attack).

Pack Tactics. The Karrnathi skeleton has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the Karrnathi skeleton's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

ACTIONS
Multiattack. The Karrnathi skeleton makes four attacks.

Scimitar. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.

Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, ranged 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage.

REACTIONS
Parry. The Karrnathi skeleton adds 3 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the Karrnathi skeleton must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.

KARRNATHI ZOMBIE
Medium undead, neutral evil
Armor Class 19 (half-plate, shield)
Hit Points 67 (9d8 + 27)
Speed 30 ft.

Saving Throws Con +5, Wis +2
Skills Athletics +5, Perception +2
Damage Immunities poison
Condition Immunities frightened, poisoned
Senses darkvision 60 ft., passive Perception 12
Languages Common
Challenge 4 (1,100 XP)

Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the Karrnathi zombie to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 +the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant or from a critical hit. On a success, the Karrnathi zombie drops to 1 hit point in stead.

ACTIONS
Multiattack. The Karrnathi zombie makes two longsword attacks and one shield bash attack.

Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) slashing damage.

Shield Bash. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
