Kara-Tur - The Lands of Enlightenment

A place where the monk class won't feel like an oddball. Kara-Tur can be discussed in the FR sub-forum. Rokugan, Mahasarpa and other Asian-themed worlds can be discussed here.

Kara-Tur - The Lands of Enlightenment

Post by shades of eternity » Sun Jul 08, 2018 2:03 pm

Ever have a moment of inspiration that gets in the way of everything else.

I started reimagining Kara-tur for 5e within certain stipulations and well, the typing went on and on so posting here for your enjoyment and feedback. :)

Need help with the races? I have done a mathematical analysis of the canon race of 5e and reverse engineered the race design rules used in-house at WOTC. The system has had hundreds of hours of playtesting. See signature.

Edit: I will co author on an article about Hengeyokai as a 5e PC race in the next RPG Review.

Honestly didn't even thinking of fleshing them out statwise (besides minotaurs and saurials), but man seriously tempted now. :)

what would you propose?

I don't do 5e, but thanks for posting this. Good luck with any collaboration you do.

I imagine something like the collaboration I just finished for the Hengeyokai.
1: you write a short version with the traits of the race.
2: I evaluate via the system and tweak what you gave me for balance.
3: you take my revision and add fluff. Do playtesting if you can.
4: If you don’t mind I do a proof read then submit to RPG Review. You retain copyright, can put in a plug for your webpage and reach an extra 2000+ Readers.

My time is pretty full so expect a couple months turn-around per race
Or get my book and do it at your own (faster?) pace.

THank you sir. I may yet make back the cost of the Adobe subscription needed to give it bookmarks.
Any questions I’m right here.
