What is known about Rokuganspace?

A place where the monk class won't feel like an oddball. Kara-Tur can be discussed in the FR sub-forum. Rokugan, Mahasarpa and other Asian-themed worlds can be discussed here.

What is known about Rokuganspace?

I am curious as to what information is available that fleshes out the solar system that Rokugan resides in.

I would like to know this too, though. ;)

The only D&D stuff for Rokugan seems to be in the 3e OA handbook. Is there any information in there at all? IDK if it would not count if it wasn't a TSR/WotC thing, but I know there are more books by (I think) AEG? Anything in there?

There are quite a few books for Legend of the Five Rings RPG, which is Rokugan. I am interested in learning more about the world, but at this point more about the celestial space in which the world inhabits.

I can skim through my 2e L5R books, which were pre-d20, and see if there's anything mentioned there

To the best of my knowledge, there isn't really any info on anything that could be termed "Rokuganspace." There are astrologers who study the stars, and besides the Sun and the Moon (which are deific entities and not strictly celestial bodies as we know them), there were seven other heavenly bodies that were identified. It wasn't known if they were actual planets, stars, or what, but they were named after the seven Fortunes: Benten, Bishamon, Daikoku, Ebisu, Fukurokujin, Hotei, and Jurojin.

I think the most you'll find on it will be in L5R: Winter Court- Kyuden Asako, and that doesn't cover a whole lot.

There's not much more than that in the rest of the series either. The only work that went into space was "Empire of Emerald Stars," the last chapter of Imperial Histories II. It's a far-off hypothetical future where Rokugan takes to the stars (after discovery of other planets that could support life causes a few years of ideological warfare...). However, this is on a galactic scale; the rest of the solar system isn't defined.

There was also a very long running fan made Living Campaign called Rokugan 2000 which was all about Samurai! In! Space! and while it inspired the Empire of Emerald Stars bit from Imp Histories, it was never official.

Since Rokugan was only an official D&D setting for part of 3.X, and Spelljammer was never a part of 3.X officially, there isn't any official Rokuganspace information. It's god's and dieties also don't fit very well into the normal D&D style divinities, which also makes it hard to fit in without a lot of work. I would honestly just use Kara Tur if you want an Asian flavored group and because its part of the Realms, there are even rules for it somewhere.
