Border Kingdoms Archive

Post by Big Mac »

There is a list of Forgotten Realms articles, on the WotC website, called The Border Kingdoms Archive. Here is the blurb from the page:
The Border Kingdoms Archive at Forgotten Realms Archives at wizards.com wrote:The Border Kingdoms are little more than names on a map to most folk in the Heartlands of Faerûn. Only a few sages and merchants know anything useful about them. Loremaster Ed Greenwood guides us through these Kingdoms.
Here are links to all the articles:

THE BORDER KINGDOMS ARCHIVE: (The first couple of articles say that the entire series of Border Kingdoms articles comes from content that was originally cut from Power of Faerûn.)

Has anyone used this Border Kingdoms stuff (with or without Power of Faerûn)?

What sort of adventures have you managed to run in the Border Kingdoms?

Did you use any other sources (Power of Faerûn or anything else)?

I missed this expansion phase of the Realms. Got out of D&D back with the grey box-FR set. Always loved it though. Always wanted to go back.

Thanks for posting this stuff. I've been kicking around settings for a Mythras/Classic Fantasy game and this has potential!

I'm glad the Watsee left these articles up. They are pretty cool. Although, I wish we could have gotten a published sourcebook on the area.

If the Unapproachable East was so unapproachable, how did anyone get there?

Go to DM's Guild. We wrote a complete guide to all the Border Kingdoms and it has been published.

Statted out for 5e I assume?
Is this a compilation and/or rewrite of existing material, new material, or a combo of both?

Gor blimey, that's a lot of material.

Looks like I'm going to have my work cut out for me in getting this all formatted into one nice PDF.

True, I could pay for it. But if I can save a buck, I'd rather put the time and effort into doing it myself.
