3E Era Abeir Map?

Post by Princess Strega »

I'm wondering if anyone has [a link to] a map of Abeir before the catastrophic events that merged parts o Abeir & Toril?

This was just discussed here viewtopic.php?f=18&t=20760 and I cannot find anything else except for the map linked in the thread.

Re-linked: http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread ... p-of-Abeir but that would be only the part which appeared in the middle of the Sea of Sword under Evermeet during 4ed FR.

As said in other thread linked above, also note it is mentioned Abeir should have another continent named Shyr, whose form could or could not correspond to Faerun, from which came the lands which in 4ed FR substituted for a time Unther, Mulhorand and other lands of central Faerun. IN 5ed, IIRC, such lands have returned to Abeir except for maybe some pockets..

This is no so accurate. The lands that replaced Unther were part of Laerakond (FRCG p. 212). It seems that Laerakond was ripped from Abeir unlike other lands, and Djerad Thymar and the surrounding lands were ripped from Laerakond (from Skelkor, especifically) during the Spellplague, and fell over Unther like a meteor. The lands south of Unther were obliterated, not send to Abeir. Only northern Unther was send to Abeir (The Devil you Know, one of Erin's novel).

But other places, such as Akanul, were transposed from Shyr, as you said.
