Is this the first time WotC have given a specific date for a 5E Forgotten Realms product?

Probably; I know they've been real reluctant to give any dates on anything. If so, then by standard FR convention of 1 real world = 1 FR year, we can probably backdate the rest of the 5e modules.

Backdating, using a year-to-year comparison, we get:
1488 DR - Rise of Tiamat
1489 DR - Princes of the Apocalypse
1490 DR - Storm King's Thunder, Curse of Strahd
1491 DR - Tomb of Annihilation
1492 DR - Dragonheist, Dungeon of the Mad Mage
