Astral Tides Kickstarter

Fans of Spelljammer are creating Spelljammer content with its serial numbers filed off. They're funding creation of a source book through a Kickstarter campaign. Is anyone in this community involved with the project, or have heard more about it? Are you interested in 3rd party pseudo-Spelljammer content? Will it be useful to you if it can't mention any of the D&D IP.

I'm one of the Backer.

It's building on another ship product they have to bring in a planehopping, multivere travelling setting. Which does have Spelljammer element and as well as some Magic: The Gathering.

The higher pledge level allow the backer to help add to the content with either an NPC, a new race (with and NPC of said race) or a new world/nexus (With a new race native of this world and NPC of said race).

The progressing is glacier slow, but now it's only 152$ or so from goal, so look like it will get funded afterall.
Roleplaying is not a Hobby...it's a Way of Life.

Thanks for the additional info. I hadn't caught the M:tG vibe, but I'm not nearly as familiar with its settings/planes as I am Spelljammer/Planescape.

Spelljammer was not about plane-hopping. Some might argue that is just a nit-pick, but the 2nd edition multiverse made a distinction between air-ship, spelljamming vessel, and a ship that could sail the planes; there was even a Planescape adventure published that dealt with one such plane-sailing ship: "In the Abyss". And at no point was it ever called, or considered to be some kind of altered spelljammer.
