Making Poster Maps?

I just noticed how they are making poster maps over at the DL Nexus:

Has anyone tinkered with adapting some of the existing maps so they can be printed as poster maps in the same way? Sounds like something Multizar might be interested in...

Aside from the most awesome map by Kal, of Mystara, on my garage wall, I also have large maps I put together of...

1 Toril. I have posters of the first map from the grey boxed set, the map from The Forgotten Realms Atlas, and the map from 3rd edition.
2 Krynn. I have all of the Tasslehoff map pouch poster maps. Pre and Post Cataclysm.
3 Athas. I have a cloth map of the Tablelands that came in one of the boxed sets.
4 Star Frontiers. I have a large map of the frontier.
5 Hyboria. A map of the lands of Conan.

I have several large area maps of Mystara. The Known World, Savage Coast, Etc.
Splitting maps up with Adobe is easy. I set the margins to overlap about a quarter inch so my large maps fit together nicely.
