I tried downloading the Ylaruam pdf, but it came back as 0 KB. I've tried others (Rockhome and Northern Reaches) and they seem fine.

Good catch. The PDFs currently linked in the Ylaruam and also Karameikos threads are both broken links, although they are available at the Vaults. I should really delete the links for now, because I won't be uploading new PDFs until I've done some more work on updating the maps.

So for now please refer to the pages at the Vaults if you need one of these PDFs.

By the way do you happen to have a pdf of Ethengar available somewhere. I've checked these threads as well as on the Vaults, and don't seem to see one.

It seems I haven't made one yet... Along with Atruaghin it's the only Gazetteer I haven't completed a replica of next, but as you can imagine it's next on my list.

And since I seem to be getting back into mapping again, hopefully I'll get it done before too long.

The two pdf files from Outer World: Known World, 24 miles per hex appear to be either broken or missing.

Technical Update: As I just mentioned in my GAZ13 PDF Project thread, at some point in the last few hours my site breached its bandwidth cap for this month, and has become inaccessible. There is actually a grace allowance too during which the site continues to function, but that has also now been exceeded. I'm in the process of requesting more bandwidth, and hopefully it'll all be back up by the time you read this message.

To be honest I'm quite surprised at this, because my bandwidth is set to 5 GB per month. Considering the relatively small number of maps I released in May, as well as the comparatively small Mystara fan base, it's really quite amazing that you guys have collectively managed to exhaust the 5 GB pot.

Update: We're back, and with double the bandwidth allowance. So you can all commence your downloading!

Seriously I don't think I'll be needing 10 GB bandwidth per month for a while, but it's there now so please don't hesitate to make use of it.

Hi Thorf,

I'm noticing a couple of problems with the links in your threads (notably the map index in Geographical Mapping section). Many of the links do not work. I suspect that they are actually pointing to threads in an older version of the Piazza which no longer exist.

Another strange thing that I notice, is that clicking on some of the links logs me out for some reason. I still end up in the Piazza 3 (I checked the url and it has bb3 in it), but I'm just logged out. I think it's happening when I hit the Geographical Mapping link from within a thread. I wonder if anyone else can reproduce that.

The broken links are all a symptom of the change of URL. The sheer number of them - all internal links between threads and posts on these boards, as well as all links people have made from outside to these boards - is why I keep saying that we need to have the main board at the /bb/ URL again. I have no intention of searching through thousands of posts to fix hundreds (perhaps even thousands) of links, so they will remain broken until the URL is restored to its previous location.

I've had the same problems as you with being logged out just by visiting the version 2 board. I couldn't say why it happens, but do be careful if you're writing a post while reading the boards not to click a link and get logged out.

Ahh, you're probably correct. The best thing would be to move the v3 board back to its original location. Since the v1 board is going to go away at some point I don't see a problem with doing just that. In the meantime I'll keep searching through threads the old fashioned way .

No sign of an end to my domain problems, so I've decided to add another domain. I will definitely be getting my old domain fixed, so there is no need to correct old URLs, but from now on there is an alternative one.

My new domain is www.thorf.jp, with www.mystara.thorf.jp as my Mystara site.

Feel free to link to my maps and images using www.mystara.thorf.jp instead of mystara.thorf.co.uk; when thorf.co.uk comes back online, both domains will continue to work.
