Thanks. Had to do it after I saw someone posted the list here in forums; but, didn't correct the listed XP to what the game actually gives. Possibly explained as "tougher" version or maybe they are "tougher" simply based on the party being limited due to the SoP?

More than likely it was the Immortal Ka that transported the castle to the Hollow World in order to preserve that small group of his followers from being totally wipe out by the Goblin War. Ka makes more sense since he's referenced alot in the game. Also, the Offical Manual/Hintbook for the game lists the only Cleric in town as a follower of Ka.
On the topic of NPC stats...make a few groups comprising the various NPC's and run them in the game. Take notes on what stats you give them and then fill out the full details when each group finishes the game. That's what I did for all the various "named" NPC's found in the Offical Manual/Hintbook.
My example of "named" NPC's from various runs:

and since I'm me, I'm now adding a pdf of "pregenerated PC's" w/ screenshots of course.

(Had to amend the pdf when I noticed I used the same stats for Graves and Valimas. It's been fixed to show different stats now.)

This stuff about lizardmen having a Well of Souls is quite interesting. Given that there are several variations of resurrection artifacts and lizardmen, I'm thinking about the Mishtai in Magic of Incarnum, which also ties into the Sarrukh in Forgotten Realms. Perhaps both the Well and the Bed could have originally been Mishtai artifacts, from after the Mishtai split off from the part of the Sarrukh that would eventually devolve into the Yuan-Ti.

As to the Burrowers and Great Annelids, maybe there's a connection to the Psurlons? Maybe most of the Annelids are mindless, but this one has been augmented by Psurlon alienists, having since broken away from their control.
