Plant people in Mystara

Weird red metals, dominions, immortals, hollow planets, invisible moons, and a lot of glorified magic zeppelins. It's all here.

Plant people in Mystara

Where can I put a humanoid plant civilization on Brun? They have bee mounts. They are wary of most humanoids.

Climate-wise, you're looking at most of the southern coastal areas with the exclusion of the Great desert, going inland about as far north as the northern end of Hule, Glantri, and Ethengar. However, the SE corner ("Known World") probably doesn't have much space for such a race, unless it's an isolated community similar to the Hutaakans.

Ultimately, the bigger question in deciding this is, do you want your PCs to encounter them, and where is your PC party currently?

The Serpent peninsula could work.

Yeah, Serpent Peninsula is a good idea. As for where I "sandbox", Redstone on the Isle of Dawn is the base of operations. Going to have a few fast moving vehicles to traverse the continents.

I would say north of Hule in the heavily forested areas. Or for a twist near Herath as a smaller or lost civilization possibly created and discarded or forgotten by them.

They remind me a little of Emerondians, though I guess the idea of Emerondians being plantfolk is not strictly canonical.

So Northern Davania could work as well?

my suggestion would be for a semi-tropical to tropical region that is remote and little traveled by traders and others from the more civilized areas of the continent
such that outsiders are generally avoided or treated warily when encountered

the use of giant sized bugs as mounts is not uncommon as most such bugs are communal so they live well in groups
just use caution as to which bugs one uses as some are solitary in nature and will aggressively challenge any rivals entering their turf
