Vaults of Pandius updated

Weird red metals, dominions, immortals, hollow planets, invisible moons, and a lot of glorified magic zeppelins. It's all here.

Update 21 June 2015

I have maintained currency with things directly sent or pointed out to me: files from the Wizards of the Coast / Other Published Worlds / Mystara message boards; the Mystara 3E Conversion Project, Mystara 4E Conversion Project, Mystara, Mystara Reborn and BECMI Facebook groups; the Mystara Mailing List; and the following rooms on The Piazza: Classic D&D, Thorf's Project main room, Hollow Word, Savage Coast, Geographical Mapping on Thorf's Project, and Thunder Rift. For The Piazza: main Mystara room I am now instigating a roughly two-week waiting policy and I am current up until the end of April 2015.

The following files have been updated on the Vaults of Pandius:

Nice work to all and you Stanles..
And DJ Hartel thanx for using my work in yours

Stanles... Feel free to browse through my Great Pass stuff... several parts (creatures for example) could easily be placed seperately in Pandius, but later they will be compiled in the Gazetteer of the Great Pass.

hey Robin, and all users of the Vaults

Thus far I have only gone through stuff on The Piazza up until the end of April. For clarification that is where the last post in a thread was in April, it doesn't refer to individual posts. I've started doing this a couple of years ago to manage things with respect to updating.

You have also highlighted another thing which I have noticed, but not yet addressed. Of course, many compiled documents such as Gazetteers, Almanacs or adventures include things which could appear separately elsewhere in the Vaults including new, or converted, creatures; new, or converted, spells; maps; etcetera. Thus far I have removed individual posts when I was aware that updated versions of them turned up in later documents. Having a system where each indiviual element of each document is seperately findable on the Vaults is beyond my capacity to implement. I hope that you understand.

cheers

Yeah, that's cool Robin - suggestions are always welcome. I just wanted to explain my reasoning. I like the suggestion.

Hey stanles, is something going on with the Vaults? I'm getting a bunch of weird 404 errors.

EDIT:
Hmmm... ok. This is strange. Seems like some of the links that I'm getting through Google come up absent the "www". So http://pandius.com/hytiliph.html gives me an error, but http://www.pandius.com/hytiliph.html is fine.

Stranger than it seems. I just checked both of those links, Chimpy, and they both work, going to the same page. :?:
Maybe a Google hiccup?

I've been getting 404 errors for pandius on and off all day, and now when I try to go to pandius.com I get A Small Orange Web Hosting message saying the equivalent of "that's the wrong url or something is broken."

Yes, that's exactly what I got as well. Though double checking again this morning and everything seems to be ok.

sorry All, I haven't been on here in a while - travelling for work, and real life getting in the way

There was a server issue on this day, and my hosting company moved it over to a different server, but apparently there was some downtime. Apologies.

Shawn -

Great work as always! Thanks for keeping the Vaults so comprehensive.

Just a thought - on the HTML versions of articles from Threshold Magazine, would it be good to include a link of the form "originally appeared in Threshold Magazine issue #1", where the link points to the PDF of the issue on The Vaults? That way visitors could also refer to the original article, see it's accompanying illustrations, etc.

AllanP

Hi Allan, I made the html versions so far. I can certainly add the link you mention in the next ones I'll do.
For those already present in the Vaults, maybe Shawn can add it, or I can add it in my provisional link for him.

When was Pandius recognized by WotC as the more or less official website of Mystara? I don't need an exact date, but an approximate month and year will be fine.

I know Pandius started in June 1996 and by 2000 it was already officially recognized as the goto site for Mystara.

In my Mystara Community History thread, I speculated that this happened in 2000 around the time of the 3E launch, but maybe someone else can confirm the exact date?
