Mystara Back in Print!

Weird red metals, dominions, immortals, hollow planets, invisible moons, and a lot of glorified magic zeppelins. It's all here.

Yes please, that would be much appreciated.

Not sure if this will work here, but check this video link.

EDIT -- never mind... I could not get this link to work from here. If you're a Facebook user, try this one instead.

Got my copy of AC1 The Shady Dragon Inn.

I already have the original, but it was nice to get a reprint as well. Not really the most useful accessory, but I like having a proper softcover edition without the loose cover. I wsih there was more of a backstory to the Inn itself, but many of the NPCs have rather interesting backstories, even if they are all rather generic.

Hey so dumb question - the print on demand for the GAZ series (so far) doesn't include the big fold out maps from the originals? Those maps are a big reason I'd order them all.

Hey,
not a dumb question.
The maps are included, but they are shrunk to the size of a double page in the booklet. The labels are still readable, but it would of course be even nicer to have them in poster size.

Thanks Havard, I live in hope (or maybe I should just hope to find a reasonably-priced original on eBay:)

You can find replicas and updates of most of the maps on the Vaults of Pandius (done by Thorf). I know it's not quite the same as the original poster sized maps, but in all honesty I use the electronic versions much more often than the old paper maps these days anyway.

The BECMI POD line seems to have slowed to a crawl. A pity, really. Let us hope for some more titles soon.

Yeah, I really hope so. I am really hoping that all of the Gazetteers go POD.

The whole thing appears to have died, POD and Scans. I have nearly given up on seeing Dawn of the Emperors on there.

I can only guess that they might have problems in getting high-quality scans of older stuff. The POD line is alive and well, but mostly publishes 3e or 4e titles: which is silly, because most of that stuff can be bought second-hand at very interesting prices, unlike the BECMI material.

Well, I found out about the last entry in late October, so "died" seems like a bit of an exaggeration?

I agree that having to wait feels like it takes forever though.

I tried to contact Drivethru about this. They told me to contact WotC. I then contacted WotC. The person at WotC had no idea what I was talking about.

They've just updated GAZ-7 The Northern Reaches on Oct 24th.

Instead of two pdfs, one being the DM and players books combined, the other being maps and cut-outs combined, they have separate pdf files for the DM's and player's books, and the maps are now larger, multi-page images instead of small single page images.

If you have already purchased it you can download the updated version for free via My Library.

This makes me think that this 'project' isn't dead. They just need the material and time to get it done, I think.
