Psionics in Mystara?

Weird red metals, dominions, immortals, hollow planets, invisible moons, and a lot of glorified magic zeppelins. It's all here.

REVISED:
Technically Immortal Power usage can be considered Psionics. All they are doing is mentally changing the power inside of them into a willed effect.

When you look at Frank's detailed version of Power Attacks, they are almost similar to Psionic attacks.

It's too bad Aaron didn't keep those Power Attack rules.

Look, my liege!

Psionics!

It's only a model!

On second thought, let's not go with psionics. It is a silly magic.

I allowed a psionic player many years ago even if we played under OD&D rules and since then psionics have been a part of my Mystara. IMC they are not much common but spread almost everywhere, more common in alphatian lands and well known in Yavdlom. Sometimes I also used AD&D psionic monsters. At the beginning it was difficult to handle psionic powers because they were clearly unbalanced by magical defences, for some time the player took great advantage of that, but eventually I decided that some wizards and clerics spells could block psionic powers and so things became more manageable :-).

I revised my statement about Power Attacks and Psionics above.

I see your point about them working the same way, but at the same time, the abilities of Immortals are divine in nature and are difficult to compare to the abilities of mortals.

That said, I wonder how psionics could be described in terms of spheres and dimensions. Linked to the Sphere of Thought for sure, but do they require the 5th dimension for instance?
