Please help me find lost Thyatian music!

Weird red metals, dominions, immortals, hollow planets, invisible moons, and a lot of glorified magic zeppelins. It's all here.

Please help me find lost Thyatian music!

Post by SeyCyrus » Thu Jan 31, 2019 2:37 am

Greetings!

I use the Mystaran setting for my Gurps campaign, and one night in the wee hours of the morning, I was checking out various websites related to Mystaran campaigns. Somewhere I stumbled across a site that had 2 pieces of original music. I believe they were 8bit music files. One was called something along the lines of "Thyatian Imperial March", and the other I don't recall.

Horror of horrors, my computer crashed a few weeks ago and I had to reinstall my OS, and I can't track down that file?

Can anyone help me, or think of another place where I might have more luck in getting an answer to this question?

Thanks in advance!

This doesn't ring any bells. Coiuld it be something ripped from one of the Mystara video games, like Order of the Griffon? Or perhaps something from one of the audio CDs?

Or is it something fan made?

Edit: found the Order of the Griffon soundtrack here, but doesnt have any tracks with the name you are looking for....

I remember those pieces too, I think they were original, but I do not have them and do not recall where they were. However maybe it was among this list of websites, even if I think some are down now: http://pandius.com/links.html

There was a youtube video someone did many years ago that was an overview of the Known World nations and Alphatia. It was basically narration, some illustrations, and music? Could those have been original pieces that accompanied that video?

I kind of recall the music you are talking about but that is the only connection that possibly comes to mind.

I think I might have those files somewhere on my computer - but I doubt I’ll have time to look until Sunday

Assuming I’m able to find them, I’ll need to know where to send them - PM me an email address to send them to.

If you have them, maybe see if they can be added to the Vaults.

Actually, never mind - they’re already available on Pandius in one of the old Tome of Mystara’s: http://www.pandius.com/tome/tomevol3/music/intro.html

No idea. They won’t play on my phone and I haven’t had working speakers on my computer in years.

I can play them with windows media player, and Audacity. I think just about anything should be able to play them.
