Mounts: Common Mounts in the Known World/Eastern Brun

Weird red metals, dominions, immortals, hollow planets, invisible moons, and a lot of glorified magic zeppelins. It's all here.

Do you see anything missing that you think should be included?

White Dragons by Thyatian Airknights (DotE) (or actually all subdued dragons)
Griffon (Penhaligon Trilogy) although feared and/or clipped sometimes used.
Purple worm riding I mean to remember being mentioned somewhere in Sind or Ylaruam (possibly mimicked from the movie Dune)
In PC 1 Fairies also used large carps to draft fairie vessels
And there is a notice of a could of butterflies carrying a person in some adventure i remember...
Giant rats are used to be riden by Kobolds,
like any lizard of size by the various lizard kin for dradft or riding
Common RL animals used as draft or even riding include Boar, Ostrich, Dog, chicken (used with small ape betting races in India, thus functional for any small race)
The Kubitts used various animals like raccoon, rabbit, and such
LotR used a hare driven chariot, which would be reasonable on Mystara
Bears of all kind were mentioned in varios D&D (not only Mystara) sources, as wellas thelarge Owl, Eagle, Vulture, Raven and such.
I had tried to list all of them in my MMMC animals. take a peek there. You'll find a lot.

Great ideas Robin!

I did not include Dragons and some of the more exotic beasts on the list because I would not consider them Common mounts even if this is something many high level heroes will seek out.

Griffons are on the list. :)

Thanx
You forgot the HW dinosaurs, The Hutaakan Footpad Lizards, The Dwarven Rockhome Lizards, and Guttar
Even they are phantasy created, these creatures are no less magical than us, and have a real place in Mystara's Ecology...to be deemed obscure to us yet normal creatures to the locals. The same as to normal animals when vieqed by Kubbits. And as to my suggested normal animals like ostrich, boar, oig, chicken, etc I would list these too, as many RL cultures use these in one way or another already to befit a phantasy would be realistic

I have a separate list for Hollow World Mounts here :)

Rockhome Lizards are already on the list.

What are Guttar? They sound familiar...
