How much does my PC weigh?

Post by Coronoides »

Rough draft
EDIT: fixed typos, incorporated feedback, and after some research on fisheries websites moved fish.
EDIT: Added another height line to animal chart. Researched baby and adult elephants further and altered the 'elephantine' column based on that research.
Mutant mass
Estimating the mass of your character can be difficult because the cube rule that determines the relationship between height and weight is not intuitive. Pure humans are short, medium, or tall. Mutant animals from base stocks smaller than humans are ‘short’. Those from species larger than humans are ‘giant’. Plants have their own table. Height and length are given for differing body forms. Next choose a build. The insectile and elephantine builds are for mutant animals only. Units are kg, the Gamma World standard.

For plants use the table below instead. Plants are less dense than animals.

If you have the Size Change mutation use a multiplier from this next able.

After consulting these tables feel free to adjust the height/length and weight a little.

Yes kilograms. It’s the standard for Gamma World. I keep forgetting anyone uses the old fashioned system still (only one country does). Pot, kettle. I’m always calling out USA-ans for their assumptions

You have 2 typos:
Pure Stain Humans : Bipedal Hieght should be Height.
Sentient Plants table header: Hieght should be Height.

I love the idea of "Pure Stain humans" - is this anything like bacteria which are classified into Gram +ve and Gram -ve based on how they react to Gram staining?

Haha!
Technically, the humans are wild-type humans.
