[Malatra] Player race question.

Soaring above the jungles of southern Kara-Tur, the Malatran Plateau has been invisible to the natives of Abeir-Toril for thousands of years. Most sages consider the area nothing more than an uninteresting wilderness.

[Malatra] Player race question.

So the Lacerials are available to play after Death From the Mists, and the Oscray after Ship from the Sky...but what about the other "new" races. When did the nubari discover/make frequent contact with the butu, plantmen, aaracokra, or civilized lizardmen? I don't have all the adventures so perhaps this was meant to happen "off screen" but even then a time frame would be nice.

They were all in Polyhedron #121 (July 1996), along with the Ostrich Katanga. The Butu are the only ones that describe when they started adventuring, which is after the Boom on Fire Mountain, when they saw people descending back to the jungle and followed them. The Ostrich Katanga was an NPC in The Golden Child. The others are described as having been around for a long time, but not generally adventuring for various reasons (lizardmen don't like to leave their swamp, plantmen were frightened of plant-eating humanoids, and the aarakocra thought everyone else had died in the disaster that created the Ash Plains).
