What magazine or book are those from?

Was there any material for Malatra outside of those articles?

While the articles are nice I would love to hear from some peoples experience at the cons or making an adventure from the materials.

A few of us signed up to the Living Jungle Yahoo Group.

Sadly, I've been a lot more busy of late, and have not checked in for ages.

But that would be the place to ask.

This is the ultimate campaign in low magic and treasure which might not be to everyone's tastes, but you may notice some bizarre changes in you players. Running through some of the scenarios freely given on Jungle Tales, you'll players will suddenly become excited the day they find a +1 sword (which they won't likely find in Malatra). It's a welcome break from the power creep of many other Realmsian campaigns.

Also, it's a truly unique setting with tons of mystery, new races and the capability to stay pure without the rest of the Realms polluting the setting. In this manner, Malatra can be plopped almost on any world. It reminds me of Jakandor in that way.

Sorry for the double post but I couldn't pass this up. I found a map by Mark Taylor (from Candlekeep) of Malatra that seems to include many of the updates from the various adventures, a little bit of homebrew, and throw in the India-based land known as Mahasarpa. This is my new Realms...

Nice! Thanks for that, Seethyr. I saw the Malatra map earlier on that guy's Deviantart site, but I totally missed the Mahasarpa inclusion!

You're welcome! :)

I think it was a great idea to put an Indian setting in the Realms since we have pretty much at least one of every other! I love Mahasarpa too, even though I was disappointed that 3e's OA wasn't Kara-Tur.

I realize this is a major necro, but there are more Polyhedron articles than what's on the list in the original post:

121/3: "The Living Jungle Just Got Livelier" (Tom Prush): New races, including aarakocra, butu, lizardmen, ostrich katanga, and plantmen.
121/10: "Jungle Tales" (?): A legend of the Living Jungle
121/11: "New Character Races" (?): MC sheets for the races from "Just Got Livelier"
121/16: "Updated Malatra Map" (?): A new map of Malatra
121/18: "Living Jungle Character Generation" (?): How to create characters of all races, both original and introduced in issue 121
129/17: "Jungle Tales" (Stephen H. Jay): The Simbara Legend of the Ancient Enemy
129/30: "Agriculture, Invention, and Society in Malatra" (Stephen H. Jay): A guide to items and materials available to different Malatran cultures
129/32: "Lacerials" (Tom Prusa and Steve Jay): Bipedal dinosaur PCs for Malatra
129/35: "Oscray" (Tom Prusa): Orc-like demihumans for Malatra
129/36: "Impala Katanga" (David "Pasha" Morrow): A new katanga shape for Malatra
129/37: "Hedgehog Katanga" (Gary S. Watkins): A new katanga shape for Malatra

I think 129 was the last issue with Maltran topics, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Good Catch! I never even bothered to check to see if Rip's list was complete. I'll have to check the other issues of Poly to see if there are any more. I suppose Living Jungle games at Conventions doesn't count....

Looks like there is a bit of a gap between both your lists. I wonder if there are any more in there. :?

Perhaps we can find somewhere else to double check this.

Is there a Polyhedron index anywhere?
