There’s really cool new stuff like the infernal vehicles.
I had never heard about infernal vehicles before flipping through Descent into Avernus. I see that Galeforce9 are offering miniatures based on them as well.

Has something like this been mentioned in older products?

Are there Celestial Vehicles? Or do other planes create other types of machines or vehicles? Mechanus would be a likely candidate I suppose...?

I am fairly confident that this is a whole new concept. It looks like they tried to give Avernus a tad bit of a Mad Max feel, which frankly, is awesome!

I think vehicles for a Celestial realm is utterly a fantastic idea and right up DmSGuild's alley. I think I might start a separate thread to explore the topic in full.

Just a fyi I run a fairly "good guy" campaign as both I and my players are the grognardy "heroes are good guys" type players and we had a lot of issues with machines that ran on torturing souls. If your players feel similarly, check this out...

EDIT: Omg duh...I didn't catch the title of this thread lol, I thought we were in the one my quote came from. No need to start a new thread.

One of the Planescape adventures involved vrocks transformed into flying ships ("Ship of Chaos"). Not sure what Infernal Vehicles entails; it sounds, from the posts in this thread, like some sort of monster hot wheels to me :p

The hellfire engines from Fiendish Codex II (incidentally also featured in Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes) are the closest thing I can think of. Perhaps the blocks of Thuldanin hold similar devices, they're certainly a thematic fit for Acheron.
