Errata for A Guide to the Astral Plane?

Postby thorr-kan » Tue Dec 18, 2012 11:39 pm

So, I was digging back through my compiled proficiency list (migod, has it been 9 years since I looked at this?!). I realized the proficiencies for this book don't list the number of slots or the attribute used for them.

Was there ever any errata for this? Or am I missing a table?

I don't recall any Planescape errata on the Previous Edition Downloads page that WotC used to have up.

PRE-POST EDIT: I just checked the Wayback Machine and they had no Planescape stuff there. :(

Perhaps, if you provide the page numbers and/or quote a few sections, some of the people here can help you infer the slots and attributes needed.

P22-23. Standard NWP list without any table. It's just weird.

I decided on the following, based on the regular proficiencies the Astral Plane NWPs were associated with:
Astral Combat – (2 slots, Warrior/Wizard, Int)
Astral Navigation – (2 slots, Warrior/Wizard, Int–2)
Astral Running – (2 slots, Warrior/Wizard, Int–6)
Astral Tracking – (2 slots, Warrior/Wizard, Int–4/–6)
Project Thoughts – (3 slots, Psionicist/Warrior/Wizard, Int–3)
Read Spellshadow – (2 slots, Wizard, Int–4)
Sense Emotion – (2 slots, Psionicist/Wizard, Wis–2)

Sage Advice in Dragon #254 has the answer:

Astral Combat – (2 slots, Warrior/Rogue, Int)
Astral Navigation – (2 slots, Warrior/Wizard/Priest, Int–2)
Astral Running – (1 slot, General, Int)
Astral Tracking – (2 slots, Warrior, Wis)
Project Thoughts – (2 slots, General, Int–2)
Read Spellshadow – (1 slot, Wizard, Int–2)
Sense Emotion – (1 slot, General, Wis–1)

Oh, come ON! I've been looking for these for YEARS! And *now* an answer turns up! :) Figures.

Thank you. I don't think I have #254, and since it's not in the Dragon Magazine Archive, I can't search on it.

Off to update my documents...

I keep meaning to compile the rest of Sage Advice and send it over to Purple Worm to add it to their database.
