Reasonable population breakdown

I'm trying to do a proper breakdown of level & age in a Dwarven/Gnomish stronghold. Yes, both races share the stronghold. What I have so far:

Dwarves: 264
Children: 156
Adult: 108
Gnomes: 137
Children: 81
Adult: 56
-------------
Breakdown by Age category:
Young: newborn - 20 (Dwarf: 100)(Gnome: 50)
Young Adult: 21 - 49 (Dwarf: 56)(Gnome: 31)
Adult (Mature): 50 - 99 (Dwarf: 60)(Gnome: 32)
Old (Seniority): 100 - 149 (Dwarf: 40)(Gnome: 20)
Venerable: 150+ (Dwarf: Gaz. 6 pg. 19: 275 yrs max)(Dwarf: 8)(Gnome: 4)
--------------
Level breakdown: w/ ages
0th Level: Children (Dwarf: 100 ages newborn to 20 years old)(Gnome: 50 ages newborn to 20)
1st Level: Common guard rank (Dwarf: 30 ages 21-49)(Gnome: 20 ages 21-49)
2nd Level: Common guard rank (Dwarf: 26 ages 21-49)(Gnome: 11 ages 21-49)
3rd Level: Common guard rank (Dwarf: 20 ages 50-99)(Gnome: 10 ages 50-99)
4th Level: Common guard rank (Dwarf: 15 ages 50-99)(Gnome: 5 ages 50-99)
5th Level: Corporal rank (Dwarf: 10 ages 50-99)(Gnome: 5 ages 50-99)
6th Level: Corporal rank (Dwarf: 10 ages 50-99)(Gnome: 5 ages 50-99)
7th Level: Corporal/Sergeant rank (Dwarf: 5 ages 50-99)(Gnome: 5 ages 50-99)
8th Level: Sergeant rank (Dwarf: 10 ages 100-149)(Gnome: 10 ages 100-149)
9th Level: Sergeant/Lieutenant rank (Dwarf: 10 ages 100-149)(Gnome: 5 ages 100-149)
10th Level: Lieutenant rank (Dwarf: 10 ages 100-149)(Gnome: 5 ages 100-149)
11th Level: Gnome High Shaman 11/10 - 73 years old(1); Captain Rank Officals (Dwarf: 9 ages 100-149)(Gnome: 0)
12th Level: Captain rank (Dwarf: 4 ages 150+)(Gnome: 2 ages 150+)
13th Level: Captain rank (Dwarf: 4 ages 150+)(Gnome: 2 ages 150+)
14th Level: Dwarf-Cleric and Leader of the Dwarves - 148 years old(1); Gnome Queen - 73 years old(1)

What I'm trying to work out is, as an example, how many children are newborn to almost young adult and what ages that covers. I've never been good at these kinds of breakdowns. *Fixed Dwarf breakdown* **Edited Gnome information* If any of that looks wrong, please speak up. (Do not comment on the abundance of children as the ratio of 3 kids per 2 adults is very much INTENTIONAL.) As always: thanks for any and all feedback.

You are searching for a population pyramid https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population_pyramid
IMHO people with relative low fertility and long living as dwarves and gnomes should have a pyramid similar to modern day european countries: https://www.populationpyramid.net/italy/2017/ but instead of 0-100 you should turn into a 0-400 scale (or what is the maximum age for them in your campaign).

Those are interesting and helpful reads, thanks. Now if someone can just point me to the BECMI listing for standard max ages for dwarves and gnomes w/ maybe an age chart on whats considered pre-young adult, young adult, adult(mature), middle-aged, old and venerable for the two races. So far I haven't found anything like that in my searches.

*Edit: found dwarven info in Gaz. 6, so I've editted the OP accordingly.

I think Ad&d had higher lifespans for dwarves and gnomes and I always used that as it could reach 4-500 years. Possibly PC3 had age tables for Skygnome but now I do not have access to it..

Already been thru Top Ballista and no gnome age info, so I'm treating gnome aging equal to dwarf and listing them according to Dwarves of Rockhome.
