Dryads are able to cast spells, as a druid of the same level.

Now that's a list!

I don't have time to do it now. Anyway, since the dragon magazine index for Mystara is available on the Vaults, it should be easy to retrieve the issue numbers.

"Don't play BECMI," they said, "not enough options" they said. :P

IIRC didn't one of the Challenger modules also contain rules for a proper Rakasta class (with Ninja-like qualities I think)?

I looked it up. It was the Rage of the Rakasta module (9435), not a Challenger module (my bad) - it has a Rakasta class that goes up to level 5, in line with the Black Box. It's basically an ameliorated fighter: d8 for hit points, natural attacks, infravision, slight armor and weapon restrictions, slightly worse saving throws than a regular fighter and uses the Dwarf experience table.

An incomplete class, basically, but still a class I guess. :P

There is actually a third version of the Rakasta as well, which appeared in the D&D Heroes Miniatures Boxed Set. It is very similar to the one in Rage of Rakasta, but adds War Claw rules IIRC.

Very interesting... So, I would have copied on March 16, 2012, a post you did on April 2014?
I suppose the ideas that (1) other people can read the sources and (2) other people might not read your blog do not ever cross your mind...

I seriously doubt that.

Your format, from your 2014 blog article is almost an exact duplicate of Agathokles's format from his 2012 post and Havard's format from his Piazza post is flipped around the other way.

In order to get from what is on your blog to what is in Havard's post, I would have to take it out of the format that Agathokles likes, put it into a reverse of that format and...

...here is where it really does not add up...

...throw away some of the information that would help Agathokles.

As Judge Judy says: It doesn't make sense. And if it doesn't make sense it isn't true.

Your claim that Havard has plagiarised your blog is totally ridiculous and I think that you should apologise for insulting him.

The surprising one that is missing, given it was EVERYWHERE in "third party" OD&D is the Amazon. I've been researching all the iterations of Amazon for writing up one for Dark Dungeons and there is a consistent OD&D Amazon type, as a monster, but when it comes to making it a class there's literally six different ones in 1974-1979. Strange that in BECMI despite all the other things that got classed, an Amazon doesn't seem to have been one of them.

No, as far as I am aware there's no Amazon class or even monster in BECMI. Probably the Amazon went out of fashion sometimes between 1979 and 1983 :D
Note that the Warrior Maidens of Madarua in B4 are sort-of Amazons, but they are (mostly) classed as Fighters, so it is possible that there was a time of class deflaction in the early times of BECMI where people did not make up new classes for everything. This obviously ended at some point when specialist priests and other classes were introduced, but at that time Amazons were probably really out of fashion :-)

For my Amazon I'm going to go straight down the line with the "Elf is a monster but also a class" approach. Nothing too insane in the monster description other than what is necessary. I've also gone round and round in circles about the skimpy outfit but good AC thing. I'm leaning to just listing what they can wear and if they wear anything else they lose their class ability or some such.

I'll post it in the Dark Dungeons forum.

Amazon class.

It's what I'm going with for my book of Dark Dungeons addenda.
