Anyone know anything about this 2003 d20 based game from Mongoose?

There were several products coming out for this setting which I believe involved a dystopian world at war with mecha like constructs:
  • Armageddon: 2089 Mongoose Publishing: d20 3 (2003 )
  • Armoured Companies Mongoose Publishing: d20 3 (2003 )
  • Behind Enemy Lines: Kazakhstan Mongoose Publishing: d20 3 (2003 )
  • Earth: 2089 Mongoose Publishing: d20 3 (2003 )
  • High Frontier Mongoose Publishing: d20 3 (2003 )
  • Soldiers Companion Mongoose Publishing: d20 3 (2003 )
  • Warmachines of 2089 Mongoose Publishing: d20 3 (2003 )
Anyone know anything about it?

Here's a review.

Even though it sounds clunky using the 3.5 rules, the setting sounds cool enough. As a connoisseur of campaign settings I went ahead and purchased the cheapest copy of the book I saw on amazon.

I had a couple of the books. It was incredibly clunky, it had Mongoose's typical (lack of) attention to editing (example: the spine of the last book claimed it was "Warmachones of 2089", but the idea was fairly cool. I ended up selling off my books partially because of the terrible system and partially because I personally prefer the smaller-scale armor of Heavy Gear or Cyberpunk's Maximum Metal supplement.

Warmachones would be awesome!

I like the fact that this setting focuses on Mechs/Gundamm like constructs. I could see how shifting the base scale to mech scale could produce some odd effects, but it does make sense if most of the game will be played out in mech combat.

Is this the system to run Pacific Rim style scenarions with? :)
