In my series of HRef threads, I have previously covered India. None of the AD&D HR Books covered Asian countries, but what other D&D resources are available for the Mongol Empire?

D&D / D20 Campaign Settings
Classic D&D
  • Golden Khan of Ethengar (Mystara)
  • Curse of Xanathon
  • Gaz 10 Orcs of Thar (Mystara), specifically the Yellow Orcs.
AD&D
  • AD&D Horde Boxed Set (Kara Tur)

D20
Magazine Articles
  • Dragon #36 page 31 "Mongols: History, Weaponry, Tactics, The" by Michael Kluever
Other Settings
  • Sovereign Stone
Anything else?

You can refer to Sovereign Stone(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereign_Stone),although this is not a D&D world. The dwarves of this world is refer to Mongolian culture.

For Classic D&D if you count the module X3 Curse of Xanathon, then there are other sources which contain more (or at least more detailed) material that should be counted:
X10: Red Arrow Black Shield (for the encounters in Ethengar trying to ally them).
Gaz 10: The Orcs of Thar (for the Kugel Horde orcs).
And probably some others that I don't recall off-hand.

There is also the three adventures of the Empires Adventures trilogy ...Storm Chasers , Black Courser and Blood Charge. These might also have info to use.All from Forgotten Realms.

Good suggestions. I was a bit hesitant to even include X3, but it is set partially in Ethengar.

The Krugel Horde are from the Hollow World. Do you mean the Yellow Orcs?

Probably - I was going off memory without checking - I just knew that there were Horde-type orcs in the Broken Lands as well as outside.

Updated this thread and added the Magazine entry. Has there really only been written one Dragon Mag article on Mongols?
