Sovereign Stone Website?

Post by Dragonhelm »

I know the old official Sovereign Stone website is long gone, but is there a fan site for the setting?

I remember that Falconer had a forum for the original Sov. Stone system, but I can't find the link right off.

Hi Trampas!

Falconer's Sovereign Stone Boards:

http://sovstone.proboards.com/index.cgi

Sovereign Stone at RPG Resource:

http://www.rpg-resource.org.uk/index.ph ... 2&visual=8

Sovereign Press' Website, preserved at the Internet Archives:

http://web.archive.bibalex.org/web/2004 ... press.com/

Hope that helps :)

Thanks for the info, Havard.

You know, I think I may have a small project in mind for the D&D Nexus. Perhaps a Sovereign Stone hub. I might even have a thing or two in my archives. Hrm...

There used to be a huge Sovereign Stone fan website out there. Anyone know what it was called, or what the URL was? Sovstone.org?

I reposted a bunch of stuff here, but it would be nice to have these things made available some place outside the forum as well. Sounds like a good idea :)

Might also be a good idea to PM Michael Falconer. He might be interested to help out, but Im not sure how often he visits this forum. :)

I don't know what this is, but if you can find an out of date website, it might have some dead Sovereign Stone links on it that can be thrown into the Wayback Machine.

I copied and pasted most of it into another thread here on the Piazza...

Thanks Havard.

Where did you actually get that stuff? Was it from Sstone.org?

Sstone.org is actually still going, although it seems to have fallen apart a bit. I can't get the contact link to work, but I wonder if we can find a working email address from an archived copy of the page and find the webmaster*, to see if they will come back and update/repair their page. Maybe they don't realise it is a bit wonky. :?

* = It looks like their name is Alex.

I got it from this place

Not sure if Sstone.org is the same site, since I cannot access it.

That's the original official Sovereign Stone site there, Havard. Sstone.org was a different site - a fan site.

Materials from both of those sites will be on the new official Sov. Stone site I'm building.

Did anything ever come out of this? :)

My appetite for new Sovereign Stone material is growing... :)

I've got the same question as Havard.

Did you step back from this, to allow the official Sovereign Stone website, by Timeout Diversions to get the limelite?

Nah, I decided to build the official site instead. ;)

Tony is no longer maintaining the website, so it's not available any more. I'm considering archiving it, but I haven't decided how best to do that.

Awesome! I saw what you did there. It looked great.

That is a shame. I got a 404 error recently and was hoping it was temporary.

Do you think there is a chance that Tony would be able to give you "Official Sovereign Stone Fansite" status? (Or, if he is not allowed to do that, because it isn't within the licence that Time Out Diversions got from Larry Elmore, would Larry Elmore himself be able to do that?)

You probably do not have the time to build a second Dragonlance Nexus website for Sovereign Stone, but it would be great to see something anything that can provide some support for Sovereign Stone fans. It looked like you pretty much had this thing nailed. :)
