I've added HexCon, but I'm struggling to find details for RegnCon because I can only read English. Please can you find out the date the convention will run (or ran) this year and confirm that it is a once-per-year event. I've also got a weird thing going on with RegnCon, where I try to go to their Facebook page and get redirected to the Facebook homepage. (I don't know if they have the page set to block foreign people.) Please would you check that out to see if the page works for you.

I like the fact that we have a Piazza thread for this. We should really get threads set up for all the conventions. I would still like to have their official websites and (if applicable) Facebook pages put into the list, as I think it will be more helpful to people.

I'm struggling with this one, as there are conflicting dates on the Lucca Comics website and the Lucca Comics Facebook page. I see both "30/10-2/11" and "18/10-2/11". I don't want to put the wrong details up.

Would someone Italian help me here. I would like the following information:
  • Is this a once a year thing?
  • Is this two events or is the longer period something like registration?
  • If it is two events, which one is the one with tabletop gaming and what is the other thing?

David, the correct dates for Lucca are 30/10 to 2/11. There are associated exhibitions that last longer (the second set of dates), but these are not strictly gaming related -- usually art/comics.
Lucca Comics & Games is a yearly event about comics, fantasy and sci-fi literature, computer and tabletop games, held in the week-end around Halloween (the 1st of November is a bank holiday in Italy).

The RegnCon convention is to be held on October 3rd-5th. Annoyingly there is no English version of the website and the page itself seems not to be updated. I found more accurate information on the Facebook Page (also only in English :( ).

That is good to know. I was under the impression that most Gaming Conventions in Scandinavia were reduced to pale immitations of what was going on in the early 90s. RopeCon (Finland) being a notable exception. I am glad to hear that Viking Con is still doing great. Maybe someday I will be able to check it out :)

how about adding Essen Spieltage?

http://www.merz-verlag-en.com/

Essen Spieltage (Internationale Spieltage on Facebook) - Gaming Convention held once a year in Essen Germany 8. - 11. October 2015

I think Essen Con is mainly about board games, but apparently it is huge.

Looks like the name is "Internationale Spieltage" rather than "Essen Spieltage".

They have a list of the "new releases" that were at Spiel 14. I've had a skim through, but do not see any tabletop games I recognise. But I guess the German market would have its own games anyway. :?

There's UCon in Michigan. There's also WinterCon, a one-day con. You may recognize that last name as being where Gygax debuted The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth.

Those Das Schwarze Auge products are most likely RPG materials. Since everything else seems to be board or card games, they might be for such things based on the RPG, I'm not sure. However, the pictures that show up on Google seem to look like RPG books.

Thanks for that. I had never heard of WinterCon, but it must be a long-running event if S4 The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth was launched there.

Shame that Metro Detroit Gamers do not have better information on their website. I didn't realise the link you sent me was the official link and spent ages looking for an official page. (And there is a comic convention squatting on their name.) They have some information about 2013 left on their website and they really are not helping blind people putting everything into pictures. (And if they do not have text, that is going to prevent search engine spiders Googlebot from knowing what their event is about.)

Anyhoo, I've just added Con of the North, U-Con and WinterCon to the list in the first post.

I've asked them for clarification. If they do any sort of RPG stuff, other than dice, I'll add them.

I think it died and came back some years ago. I'll have to ask. And yes, agreed on the weirdness of their website.

Right now, I'm trying to get all the events in the world together, so they are listed alphabetically, because that is easier.

I might do that eventually. But I have a feeling that listing all the events in the USA would not be "good enough" and that people would want them subdivided by US state.

The other thing I might do is make a chronological listing of events.
