CC1 "Beyond the Skies" Kickstarter Preview

Greetings all!

I'm very excited to be able to share with you the link to Beyond the Skies' preview page. This presentation is very close to its final version, which should go live during the first week of December 2015.

This page says a lot about the new book in the Calidar series as well as the people behind it. As this still is work in progress to some degree, the link is made public mainly for the opportunity to return feedback about its contents. Have a look at the project's general description, pledge levels, add-ons, and stretch goals. Tell us what you think. You can do so here, or directly via the preview page (use the feedback box near the top of the kickstarter page).

This kickstarter makes it possible for new backers to acquire the original book at a discounted price, and other titles strictly restricted to kickstarter supporters. As always, the success of any crowd funding depends directly upon its backers. So please, do share this post as much as possible with friends you know may be interested in Calidar.

Thank you so much for making this book a reality!

Hi, it looks an interesting package, once more. I'll certainly back it, main decision is physical vs. PDF. Will you be able to print and ship books from UK for EU backers like last time? That was rather useful in the first Kickstarter (at least for me).

Hi. Yes, the books for backers outside the US will be printed in the UK. I looked into shipping them from here in the USA, especially for people combining add-ons (since there are many more add-ons this time around), but the cost of mailing via USPS was horrendously uneconomical to put it mildly. It doesn't help that CC1 is a heavy and expensive book to produce. This means therefore that add-ons for backers outside the USA will get mostly shipped individually straight from DTRPG-UK. This sucks monumentally, but I see no other option as the benefits of ordering directly from the printer do not remotely outweigh the cost of shipping via USPS. I'm still hoping I can consolidate US backers' rewards into single shipments.

Thanks. Then I'll likely get at least the main book in dead tree version :-)

Master has "Skies of Fury" (approx. xxx pages), but the pic has it as 60 pages.
Master also has "Beyond the Skies" (approx. 240 pages) while the pic, First Mate and Captain has "Beyond the Skies" (220 pages or more)

Apart from the above clash, the rest looks pretty good.

Does it include anything on how epic heroes become gods themselves, if that is possible?

Also, I'm a bit concerned on how you have managed to eke out a living for the last year. The kickstarters wouldn't cover living expenses but if you have a day job I don't how you managed to type and edit 200k words!

Thanks for the comments. "Skies of Fury" should be 60 pg (will fix). "Beyond the Skies" ought to read 220+ pages. As for writing the 200K words... well, all I'll say about this is that it wasn't easy! ;)
