Here is a thread to build up Netbook 1, Player's Guide to Spelljammer: Appendix C: Spelljammer Lexicon
  • Aft - Towards the rear (stern) of a ship
  • Air - Gas contained within an air envelope or an atmosphere, that is vital to air breathing creatures
  • Air body - A celestial body that is primarily made up of the element air
  • Air envelope - The zone of air that appears naturally around small objects or creatures that travel out of a celestial body's atmosphere
  • Atmosphere - The zone of air that surrounds a celestial body
  • Beam length - The width of a spelljamming ship or sailing ship, measured at its widest point
  • BL - Abbreviation for beam length
  • Caravel - A groundling sailing ship sometimes used by spacefarers
  • Celestial body - An object, or collective group of objects, ranging in size from an asteroid, moon, planet or a sun
  • Citadel - A design of spelljamming ship usually used by dwarves
  • Coaster - A design of groundling ship sometimes used by spacefarers
  • Cog - A design of groundling sailing ship sometimes used by spacefarers
  • Crew - People required to operate a device, often used when referring to a ship's crew
  • Crew raiting - The suggested minimum and maximum number of people who should be on a spelljamming ship
  • Crystal sphere - A large spherical object that contains a system of planets and separates their wildspace from the phlogiston
  • Damselfly - A design of spelljamming ship
  • Deadly air - Completely depleted air, that has become poisonous and causes people breathing it to die
  • Deathspider - A design of spelljamming ship usually used by neogi
  • Displacement - The amount of water, or air, that a ship pushes out of the way to make way for itself
  • Dragonfly - A design of spelljamming ship
  • Dragonship - A design of spelljamming ship usually used by Shou humans
  • Drakkar - A design of groundling sailing ship sometimes used by spacefarers
  • Drommond - A design of groundling sailing ship sometimes used by spacefarers
  • Earth body - A celestial body that is primarily made up of the element earth
  • Flitter - A design of spelljamming ship usually used by Elven Navy
  • Fire body - A celestial body that is primarily made up of the element fire
  • Foul air - Partly depleted air that, is stale and humid and causes people breathing it to feel sickened
  • Fresh air - Completely breathable air
  • Galleon - A design of groundling sailing ship sometimes used by spacefarers
  • Great galley - A design of groundling sailing ship sometimes used by spacefarers
  • Gravity - A force, within atmospheres or air envelopes, that pulls people downwards
  • Gravity plane - A gravitation force, that passes through the central plane of a spelljamming ship
  • Groundling - An inhabitant of a planet who has no knowledge about the way that wildspace and the universe works
  • Hammership - A design of spelljamming ship
  • Hull - The main structure of a spelljamming ship or sailing ship
  • Keel - A single wooden beam that stretches the full length of most sailing ships and many spelljamming ships of similar design
  • Keel length - The length of a spelljamming ship or sailing ship, usually measured along its keel
  • KL - Abbreviation for keel length
  • Longship - A design of groundling sailing ship sometimes used by spacefarers
  • Man-o-war - A design of spelljamming ship usually used by the Elven Navy
  • Maneuverability class - A system used to classify a spelljamming ship's ability to turn, while at tactical speed
  • MC - Abbreviation for maneuverability class
  • Moon - A celestial body that orbits a planet
  • Mosquito - A design of spelljamming ship
  • Nautiloid - A design of spelljamming ship usually used by illithids
  • Phlogiston - Flammable rainbow ocean kept outside wildspace by the crystal spheres
  • Planet - A celestial body that orbits a primary
  • Primary - A celestial body at the dead center of a crystal sphere
  • Sailing ship - A groundling ship designed to travel across the seas of worlds
  • Sidewheeler - A design of spelljamming ship usually used by gnomes
  • Spacefarer - A person living in wildspace and with an understanding of the way the universe works
  • Spacehand - A person qualfied to work as a crewmember on a spelljamming ship
  • Spelljamming ship - A ship designed to travel through wildspace and the phlogiston
  • Spelljamming speed - The speed of a spelljamming ship, that is in open wildspace
  • Squid ship - A design of spelljamming ship
  • Stern - The rear half of a spelljamming ship
  • Sun - A large fire body. Suns are often, but not always, primaries
  • Tactical raiting - The maximum power a spelljamming ship is able to bring to bear, when travelling at tactical speed
  • Tactical speed - The speed of a spelljamming ship when it is in an an air envelope or close to another mass
  • Tonnage - The amount of air that a spelljamming ship displaces
  • Topsides - The part of a spelljamming ship between the gravity plane and the deck.
  • TR - Abbreviation for tactical raiting
  • Tradesman - A design of spelljamming ship
  • Tyrant ship - A design of spelljamming ship usually used by beholders
  • Wasp - A design of spelljamming ship
  • Water body - A celestial body that is primarily made up of the element water
  • Wildspace - The space contained within a crystal sphere
