This thread is based on a Creature Catalogue thread called Monster Conversion Notes. It is intended to do the same thing as that thread, but for the Spelljammer Campaign Setting, rather than D&D monsters in general. Just like Echohawk from the CC team said over there: The thread is going to serve as a repository for all the secrets we learn while converting parts of the Spelljammer rules to 3rd edition. It will also serve as a list of links for conversion resources.

Please do not clutter this thread up with chit-chat. If you want to discuss the Spelljammer Conversion process, please surf over to the [SJ3e] Spelljammer Conversion Notes Discussion thread. We will talk about your topic there and then build up a summary that we can repost in this thread.

New link added to Other Useful Links section: Pocket Reference: Creatures from the Spelljammer Setting - A list of all the Spelljammer monsters, the products they came from and the location of all conversions.

This list is the definitive list of all Spelljammer creatures and would be just as useful for people converting Spelljammer to other RPG rules. This list is maintained by Echohawk, who one of the Creature Catalogue experts on 3rd edition conversion.

New link added to Other Useful Links section: The Hypertext d20 SRD - An online version of the System Reference Document that has been hyperlinked to allow for fast searching of the core 3.5 rules.

The Hypertext d20 SRD website is the best organised version of the 3rd Edition SRD, that I've ever seen. All the important words are hyperlinked, so you can hop instantly to the page that describes any term. And there is even a search box and a bookmarklet to help make searching even easier. Except when I'm using special classes (and prestige classes) from 3e gamebooks, I usually use this website to help me create new characters.
