[13th Age] Sorcerer Kings as Icons?

Postby Dragonhelm » Sun Aug 25, 2013 4:45 am

I got a chance to play 13th Age while at GenCon, and one of the concepts I really liked was the icons - incredibly powerful movers and shakers within the world.

At some point, it occurred to me that this would be perfect for the sorcerer-kings in Dark Sun. I could see this system being used in a politically-driven Dark Sun game.

Thoughts?

Ah yes indeed. That's what I am going to do when I run my next Dark Sun campaign. I am going to use the 4e books as reference materials; porting the defiling rules to 13th Age shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Besides the Sorcerer Kings, I will also use the Veiled Alliance and the Merchant Houses as Icons.
