This forum is here to help gamers find groups (and vice versa). Either face-to-face games or online games doesn't matter much - either is ok.waylander39 wrote:Ashtagon, would it be possible to have a forum dedicated to gaming clubs/ groups/ people seeking players etc. Possibly as a sub-forum on the Orcs Head public house?
Please observe all normal rules of preserving personal identity/contact secrecy. The internet is a big place, with many strange people, and this forum is publicly viewable. Specifically, DO NOT POST real-world names, addresses, emails, instant messenger contact details, etc, in this (or any other) part of the forum. Such details may be edited out as I notice them, but the forum accepts no responsibility for any consequences as a result of you placing such details in public view, and there is no specific timeframe for how long it will take for such details to be removed.
The recommended approach is to say what kind of game/group/person you are looking for in your post, and request that they contact you using the forum's IM system, or that they contact you using contact details you have entered in your profile.
Your forum profile allows you to enter contact information for various 3rd party IM systems (ICQ, AOL, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber, website). To enter such information, go to (user control panel -> profile). Again, you are solely responsible for placing contact information in a publicly viewable space. Such contact information in your profile will not be removed as standing policy, unlike contact details placed in a forum thread.
Update (20/7/2020): This section of the site can also be used for private individuals looking to buy/sell second hand gaming products. Commercial sellers looking to promote their products should use The Wishing Well.
