SETTLEMENT AGE & HISTORY
Knowing the Age and History of the Community is vital. In old communities There is always debris of previous settlement. This is old ruins, redeveloped buildings, recycled brick and stone, Abandoned Tunnels, Sewers, Old Walls. Your Current town might be sitting on a mound of dirt and mudbrick that used to be an older - forgotten city from another age.

Basically decide how many periods of settlement the community represents. Then Roll for Location and Purpose for each age - this allows you to build a history of a community.

ex - What is now a Defensible Position (Mound) in the Desert where Wizards rule was previously a farming settlement with a Well, and before that a Mining community at a point of environmental transition between Desert and Plains.
