Here is a (very) rough estimation of who all is where, based on what you've heard, and Castinus' brief glance into the courtyard.

The greenish-brown blobs are the adult kobolds, the green dots are their young, and the magenta ones represent the girls:

Not sure how we can sneak. Maybe one of us should just stroll in the gate with some fake reason to distract them?

Maybe cause a distraction at the gate, and then the rest of the party strike from behind?

Although this could cause them to send for backup.

I find it so interesting how tough a situation this is!

I think the only way to sneak in is to use some kind of distraction, but then what is the person providing the distraction going to do to get out of that situation?

Trying to do a quick strike to take down the guards might be an option but the risks there include the sounding of an alarm if one escapes, and the unpredictable reaction of the children and kobold young.

What if we did a two-point attack; some of us from the breach and some from the front gates (provided we can get through there)?

How many of us are there again? (Several people haven't done a character sheet in that tread yet.)

Maybe the two smallest (halfing and gnome) can try the front gate approach?

That sounds like a good idea. Are you guys (i.e. your characters) willing to try it?

Are the halfling and/or gnome willing to try for the gate? They'll have cover from a couple of bows and if they really get into trouble we can charge out to help them.

Howdy. I chatted with the DM on Facebook and he directed me here. I'd like to join in.

I'll make sure to read all the posted material, but it will probably take me awhile to catch up.

Can someone list the group roster (looked for it, but can't seem to find the current make-up).

I can play whatever (haven't really played BECMI in ages), but I prefer spellcasters. If the group is full on spellcasters I can run a Thief, or even a Fighter if needed.

Would using This Basic D&D Character Creator be OK for character creation?

My name's Matt. I look forward to meeting you all.

Thus far, we have (in no particular order):

We had a gnome, but he appears to've wandered off.... ;(

If you don't have good ol' fashioned rattle-around-on-the-desk dice at hand, that should be ok -- You can use the 4d6, drop lowest if you like, but I think everyone else opted for old school 3d6, in order, if I'm not mistaken...

barna10 wrote:My name's Matt. I look forward to meeting you all.

Welcome to the Piazza, Matt! If you haven't poked around much, we have an "Introduce yourself" thread where you can make your presence and campaign world of choice known to the greater board population. (Here's mine)

If you have any questions, you can either drop them here in the OOC thread, or PM me directly.

I leave party makeup to the players, so robertneaves, Chord, Hugin, if you feel the party needs something, please speak up! :D

(If you don't want to have to be stuck playing the cleric, Matt, one will become available during the course of the adventure.(if she isn't eaten by ogres) Also, since characters start at second level, assume your equipment includes one potion of healing found during your first level adventuring days.)

A spellcaster would be great to have, but I agree with robertneaves, whatever you'd like to play is perfectly fine.

I'll gladly do a cleric. I like cleric in BECMI. I won't have to declare a particular ethos or diety (something that keeps me from playing a cleric in other editions).

I'll post something soon.

I don't have time to post the whole character now, but I have a PDF of him (used the character generator I mentioned) Roland

Name: Roland
Alignment: Neutral
Title: Adept
XP: 1500
STR: 12
INT: 13
WIS: 17
DEX: 12
CON: 16
CHA: 14

HP: 14
AC: 4 (chain and shield)

Thanks for having me!

One question, are you using bonus spells from Labyrinth Lord Advanced Edition?

The PbP Paperwork thread

We're just using straight RC/BECMI. No bonus spells, sorry.

We are using General Skills and Weapon Mastery (not that WM will be kicking in for some few levels...)
