Scene XVI - 4th month (Bahrlen, Klarmont, early summer, 1st-28th, 990 AC)
Retameron signals to Taradain and Dim to not attack, but aim at the men and the goblins near to the captured people, but not fire yet. Retameron indicates in particular to aim at the man in charge and at the one with the dark robe.
In the other group, Cardia chants something, and suddenly the trees and the plants around the two men and the six goblins are alive, moving, slashing and tying those coming toward you.
Only one of the men and a goblin are able to escape the entanglement, while the others are pinned by vines and branches.
Sam also fires with a small crossbow, but the man in the front manages to avoid it as he avoided Cardia's spell. Enraged, he runs toward you while screaming in defiance.
Bofar and Lucius both fires at him, yet his desperate tactic is successful, because he manages to block both your darts with his shield.
The man attack Bofar with his sword, but his slash is clumsy, completely missing the dwarf.
The goblin still free of the entanglement has remained behind, and is trying to cut the vines and branches blocking the others. Sam moves toward him, trying to hit him from behind.
The man who looks like the leader by the cart curses and commands two more men and two goblins to run to the aid of the others. The man in dark robe touches something by his neck and chant.
Retameron now signals to Taradain and Dim to attack him, to Kesh to attack the leader, then he and Arkan, as silently as possible, run toward the cart.
Whatever magic Kesh tried to do on the leader clearly fails, as the man shakes his head and then turn to meet the charge of Retameron.
Taradain's bolt hit the man in dark robes fully in the chest. The man stagger, becomes pale, lean against the cart and is clearly grievously wounded.
