Lucius checks the story with Rahasia and the other elves. Did they really come from this faraway land?

"Yes, according to our history, over two thousand years ago. But the details on how and why we came are a secret of our people and I am not sure I can freely speak about them. It is quite a complicated story and you must forgive my caution, but it is necessary. If we discover more about the Rahib and why he came, it is possible we will have to tell you much more. For now I can tell you this is probably related to a century old struggle we had waged against the Dark Triad, a group of cruel Immortals who want to get their hands on an artefact we are guarding, mostly from them. Only very recently we began to suspect they may be a connection between our artefact and the magical Mirror this Skarda is using for his attacks. But we do not know yet if the Rahib is connected to Skarda or not. He could be just a minion of the Black Triad", Rahasia says.
"Our investigations for now have not found any direct correlation between Skarda and any Immortals, but there is a clue - Taran of the Elvenguar says - We suspect since some time the Iron Ring slavers are followers of dark immortals and Skarda certainly has some relation with them, even if we do not understand yet what relation. Is he the secret leader of the Iron Ring? or he is just another independent agent? And there is also the matter of Baron Von Hendriks. We suspect he has some connection with the Iron Ring, and maybe even with dark Immortals. Capturing and interrogating this Rahib could give us quite some answers".
"What of this man? - Bellithiel asks - he could be sincere, and an extra hand could be useful, but maybe this time we will not have him behind us".

Temple of the Gray Mountain
Scene XXII - Hralen, Thaumont, Early Spring, 20th day, 993 AC

You find Hasan's and Baik's equipment in one of the cells, and put the four asleep guards there too, but as soon as you move back to the north four more Siswa block your way, and behind them there is another figure, a man with short hair dressed in a black robe, who carries a mace.
"Stop them!" the man orders, and one of the Siswa throws a small vial on the ground, from which a dense gas comes out. The three other Siswa begin to move their hands in casting, and several of your companions do the same.
The gas however is quicker. Lucius goes down, coughing and struggling to stay awake. Bofar somehow manages to resist the effect. Baik goes down as Lucius, and also Jujur, Kepala, the halfling Sunggu and Mati of Rahasia's group.
Bellithiel however resists, and a spell from her blinds one of the Siswa guards. Rahasia too cast a spell, and another guard goes down. Sinar, another elf of Rahasia's group, tries another but fails to have any effect. Kesh and Taran succumb to the gas or to some spell too, and Sinar soon falls too but in the meantime the remaining two Siswa guards goes down too, and the dark figure behind them runs away to the north.
Of your group Bofar, Bellithiel, Rahasia, Hasan and three of Rahasia's friends, Bechak, Benar and Suchi, are still standing. The other are either asleep, blocked or coughing on the ground. One blinded Siswa guards is wandering around, but the three companions of Rahasia quickly stun him.

Let's tie the Siswa, they are enemies until we can remove the influense they are under. And somebody watch the northern corridor.
Bofar kneels beside Lucius and checks him.

"That man who went north, he was the Rahib!", Hasan says.
"Yes tie the Siswa, we should follow him as soon as possible or he will came back with more of them!" Rahasia says.
Yet it is not quick to revive the people which were hit by spells and the sleeping gas. Lucius, with the help of Bofar, manages to get back on his feet, but the others are still down when you hear a growl. The Rahib is back with two huge black panthers. He cast some spell and Suchi, Bechak and Hasan are immediately blocked, and falls down. Bellithiel and Rahasia start casting some spell of their own, while Benar, a strong elf, moves to the front to help Lucius and Bofar against the panthers. One of them is the first to reach Lucius trying to hit him with paws and bite, but the Thyatian warrior manages to parry with his shield all the ferocious blows.

Lucius remains on the defensive, engaging the panther while leaving space for Benar to move beyond the panther or attack it.

Bofar hits the panther on the shoulder, while Benar hits too Lucius' panther, while the Thyatian warrior misses the beast. In the meantime Rahasia and Bellithiel have cast an area of darkness over the Rahib.
The panthers attack again, but you parry their attacks. Bofar hits again the panther against him, while Lucius and Benar miss. The animals are quick and strong, and not easy to defeat.
Bellithiel hits another with an arrow, while Rahasia cast a web over the other, blocking it. The panther against Bofar, wounded by the dwarf and the arrow, runs away. The globe of darkness still stays put over the Rahib's former location.
"Either he ran away, or we stopped him", Rahasia says.
Bellithiel creates a light to dispel the darkness and indeed the Rahib is down, asleep by Bellithiel's magic.
"We have him!" Rahasia says.

Lucius ties and gags the Rahib, then searches him for any object he might use to escape, or we might use to identify him or his purpose.

The Rahib has a medallion, bearing the symbol of a red pentacle on red field, a black robe, a mace and a ring, nothing else. The captured Siswa are awake but catatonic, as if awaiting instructions.
"The spirit of my father said the Rahib is a pawn of a darker evil", Rahasia says.
The Rahib's skin is somehow similar to Baik's.
"Maybe he did come from Skothar like me", Baik says.

Maybe the medallion is connected with controlling the Siswa.

Bellithiel, Taran, Kesh, Rahasia and the others examine the Siswa and the medallion, but it seems they still are in a dreamlike state, and only say they "await the Rahib's instructions".
"Probably there is another object somewhere controlling them - Kesh says - the clerical symbol bear the sign of Demogorgon, an evil and despicable Immortal" .
The elves tie the Rahib and try to interrogate him, but the cleric just smile, saying nothing..
"I do not think we will obtain much from him. Probably we should look into his rooms to find more clues", Rahasia says.

Indeed. There's the problem of leaving him around. He's too dangerous and might have allies around.

The elves speak a while among themselves. Then one of them cast another spell and the Rahib falls asleep again. Then another elf creates a magical floating disk, and the elves put the man on it.
"The only solution is to take him with us, asleep. In the cells he would eventually awake and call the Siswa. Clearly he still controls them. We have to find how. We cannot kill him, that would be wrong and anyway we could learn a lot from him, probably with magic".
You go north and east, in the rooms from whence the Rahib came.
There is a library and a study. The books in the library are those of the Siswa, but in the study there are hand written notes and a map of the elven town, Kota Hutan.
Bofar soon find a secret door in the study, leading to a bedroom with more notes and books.

Let's see if we can find anything that explains what is happening here, who Rahib is or how he is controlling the Siswa.
Bofar checks the notes, if they are written in any language he understands.

There are several notes written by the Rahib, but they are all written in a strange language of ideograms. Baik however can read them.
"He says something about an Eye and three witches and three girls to host their spirits", Baik says.
"My kidnapped friends. And the Eye is the artefact we were guarding, the possible goal of the Rahib. But the thing about the witches worries me much. We have legends about the witches of Dymrak, powerful in magic and great in evil. They could too be followers of the Dark Triad: Demogorgon, Leptar and Orcus. And the Rahib is a cleric of Demogorgon, it seems", Rahasia says.
Looking at the Rahib's room, Bofar also notices there is a section of the wall which could hide something.

Bofar can open the wall indeed, behind there is a tunnel dug in the stone, going down.
"According to the Rahib's notes this lead to Elyas'tower, the rooms of the founder of this temple - Rahasia says - We too can understand something of his writings, it must be of Skotharian origin. The notes also says he could not take the north way because of the 'guardian before the gold' and indeed the spirit of my father also said the gold and an ally were to the north, so probably we should take a look there first".
