[Scarred Lands] Scarred Lands NPCs

In order to make The Piazza the premier resource for the Scarred Lands, I am starting a thread to share NPCs for the setting. Please share your NPCs with the world. And remember, one man's PC is another man's NPC. ;)

Alexandriena was born in the city of Fangsfall. Her parents were traveling merchants and she grew up traveling throughout the western portion of Ghelspad. Her family had a great reputation among the various communities they traveled through, but really her family sought every opportunity to take advantage of their customers. They were just very good at hiding it. More disturbing, her family proudly proclaimed their devotion to the gods, but secretly they were Titan worshipers.
Unknown to most people, Alexandriena is actually a descendent of Corean. Sometime prior to the Divine War Corean was traveling the world when he met a woman who was an ancestor of Alexandriena. He hid his true identity from her for many years and fathered several children with the woman. The divine blood has diluted over the years, but it left many in the family with a talent for magic.
Alexandriena herself was born during a meteor shower known as "The Tears of Corean." The priest who oversaw her naming prophesied that she was destined for great things. She traveled with her family opening new trade routes to far off places like Shelzar and Darakeene. Later she traveled across the continent to Mithril, where she has become a trusted member of the Guild of Shadow. Although she is still a midlevel member of the guild, she has caught the attention of Nabila Silverheart, the second highest ranking member of the guild. Some have hinted that Silverheart is grooming her to take her position and that Nabila plans to leave Mithril with Barconius, leader of the Mithril Knights.

I don't have anything yet, but when I get some Scarred Lands NPCs or PCs, I'll post them here.

Crulamin never knew his parents. They were both killed by dark elves when he was just an infant. Instead he was raised by his older brother who served as one of the bodyguard's of King Thain. As he grew and it became time for him to learn a trade his uncle took him as his apprentice and taught him the ways of Goran's priesthood. However, recently his uncle felt called to travel to Baereth Marn and never returned from that cursed ruin. Crulimin took the old dwarf's death hard and has set out on his own quest to find allies strong enough to aid him in lifting Chern's curse and discovering the fair of his uncle.

Tactics: Janonna prefers to avoid combat if at all possible. She prefers to work behind the scenes to advance the goals of the Sirens of Althea and leave lesser folk to do the dirty work. However, sometimes she does have to fight, either because of a jilted lover, an angered spouse, or just because someone discovers that she is a Siren. When that happens she is prepared to deal with that.

When faced with an opponent, Janonna uses Dominate Person to attempt to control the most powerful individual attacking her. If she is successful, she will command her thrall to attack his comrades while she stays back and uses magic to deal with them. If there is a spellcaster in the party, that is who she has her thrall focus on, otherwise she will pit him against his next strongest ally.

Janonna will focus on using enchantments on her enemies to sow disent and discouragement among their ranks. she will only resort to offensive spells is she is fighting someone resistant to enchantments, like an elf, or if her thrall is defeated or freed. If it looks like she could be killed, she will surrender and count on her wiles and her magic to allow her to manipulate her way out of prison.

Background:Janonna is a Siren of Althea, a secret bloodline of sorcerous women who seek to establish themselves as the rulers of Ghelspad. Although some people suspect that they have amassed a great deal of power, most people believe that they are a myth. To most of the world, the Sirens died out a long time ago. That is just how the Sirens prefer it.

Janonna is somewhat of a rarity among the Sirens as she was born from love rather than manipulation. Her father was an elven bard who passed through the town her mother was in and managed to seduce the young woman, despite the fact that Janonna's mother was quite skilled at manipulation herself. When she turned up pregnant, the leaders of the clan decided to allow her to keep the child in an effort to strengthen the bloodline.

Because of the unconventional circumstances surrounding her birth, Janonna has been somewhat of a black sheep among the family. There have been times when she has faced expulsion from the family, or worse, only to have Althea herself intervene on her behalf. Althea claims that Janonna has a special destiny that will advance the family's fortunes.

Today, Janonna is on a mission to discover her destiny and prove that she is a worthy member of the family. She is currently traveling to try and find a cure for her mother, who suffers from a strange wasting disease. While she is searching for the cure, she also searches for clues to what she is to become and searches for her father as well.
