Intro to Al-Qadim on Tribality

Postby Tim Baker » Thu Jun 09, 2016 11:50 pm

Tribality recently posted a nice intro to Al-Qadim. If you're unfamiliar with the setting and are looking for a short explanation of what makes it cool and different, I suggest checking it out.

Good intro indeed. I have the books but never played it. Hopefully one day I will get to it :)

I highly recommend it. It has a completely different feel. Since coming back to RPGs 5 years ago, my players' favorite and most often mentioned encounter came from our Al-Qadim campaign, and didn't even involve combat.

Thanks for that. The The Sha’ir, Part One and Only and The Sha’ir Class, Part Two articles, that Brandes Stoddard wrote for Tribality, are also worth a read. :)

Definitely. He's done several D&D class histories, and they're all excellent.
