[Adventure] To Find the Lady (GM2)

Post by Havard » Mon Dec 07, 2015 9:20 am

Graeme Davis wrote:The adventure was called Find the Lady, and it was published in issue 2 of Paul Cockburn’s AD&D magazine GameMaster Publications, which came out in December 1985, shortly before he joined Games Workshop. Paul started GM Pubs after the closure of Imagine magazine and the rest of TSR UK’s publications department; it was written by various Imagine regulars – and several former TSR UK staffers – and lasted for five issues before Paul took over as editor of White Dwarf. Like Imagine, GM Pubs only bought first rights, which is why I feel comfortable making it available online now.
You may find the adventure here.

Has anyone here taken a closer look at this city based adventure yet? What are your thoughts on it? :)

For those of you who don't like Scribd, I've added Find the Lady to my Freebies page, where you will also find a few other AD&D pieces from Imagine and elsewhere. https://graemedavis.wordpress.com/freebies/

Thanks Graeme.

Can I ask, did you have a free reign with To Find the Lady, or did Imagine give you some sort of Pelinore-related details that they wanted you to fit into the adventure?

All Paul told me was that he needed a 16-page adventure for his new magazine. The setting notes for Pelinore and Zhalindor were added at his end.
