The excellent list of deities above is a true reflection of the gods who are worshipped in the part of Pelinore known as the Domains. Pelinore has hundreds of gods and their power comes from the number of worshippers they have, so different gods have more power in different regions.

This is all detailed in Imagine Magazine issue 26 and issue 28.

There may be further details in one of the GameMaster Publications issues. I understand there is an article in there about the motivation of clerics in Pelinore, but I haven't seen it yet. I have ordered GM1 to GM5 and hopefully they will arrive this week.

Thanks for the input Kneverwinterknight! I am looking forward to hearing whether the GM publications can shed more light on the deities.

One thing I found puzzling about this pantheon is that the patron of the dwarves is Chaotic...

Yes indeed. The wife went daft when she saw what I paid for them :o

I'm running a game at RPOL. It hasn't really kicked off yet, but feel free to drop in if you want info.

I'm full of players, but I can add anyone as a lurker if they so wish.

Did your wife really go daft, or did she just call you daft? :)

Edit: I've sent you a message on RPOL asking to be added as a lurker.

I kind of hate things being expensive. I'd rather see GameMaster Publications still be around and have them knock out (relatively) cheap reprints (on a Print on Demand basis) instead of see prices rocket out of control. I know that some people enjoy seeing things they own go up in value, but as a role player, I figure that having a ton of other people with the same stuff makes it easier to find online "nerd-support". :ugeek:

I don't have much time for lurking elsewhere, but if you ever do a Pelinore game diary thread here, ping me and I'll bookmark the thread.

Sounds like we need a "[Pelinore] Converting the gods to 2e" thread.

You could stick the list of gods in the first post, then work through them one by one, posting the 1e stats in the thread and making any changes needed to fit in with 2e (just adding domains IIRC). When the deity is "fixed up" you could link the name of the god in the first post to the exact post that has the 2e version.

I suppose you could knock this up into a conversion netbook.

A direct link to the Gods of the Domains section would save people time (and still work after you post a lot more announcements).

I think the Religion of Pelinore section is also well worth looking at.

When I said that section was" worth looking at", I meant it was worth reading (to other people) because it is interesting. :)

EDIT: Having said that, it might be nice to have a landing point (separate page or an inline anchor) for every god, so that Havard could add links to his top post.

Actually, each God has its own page. Just mouse over the name of the god of your choice on the Gods of the Domains article and you will see the link.

The sharp eyed among you will have notice that the website no longer contains articles about the gods of Pelinore. This will be remedied, although I don't know when.
